Wipro Limited, a global technology services and consulting firm, is looking for a Lead Administrator L1 for an onsite, full-time role based in India (IND-24, IN). With more than 230,000 people and partners across 65 countries, the company helps clients navigate digital transformations and build sustainable businesses. If you enjoy digging into high-stakes issues, interpreting performance data, and coordinating among multiple teams to keep critical services running, this could be a fit.

The position centers on solving high-priority incidents, ensuring SLA targets are met, and driving performance improvements across systems. You’ll work with both internal teams and external partners to mitigate problems and align service delivery with business needs.

Steering incidents and tuning systems

On a typical day, you’ll triage and resolve high-priority incident tickets (P2) by applying advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to close issues promptly. You’ll monitor SLA compliance for your technology areas and escalate proactively when targets risk being missed, keeping stakeholders informed along the way. You’ll review system performance data, coordinate with engineers on observed behaviors, and support capacity planning efforts to boost overall efficiency. You’ll drive improvements by evaluating new tools and collaborating with technical teams to validate or implement changes. Part of your remit also includes participating in disaster recovery exercises and security drills to ensure controls stay aligned with established standards. In addition, you’ll provide updates during weekly and monthly service reviews and help maintain transparent communications so service alignment remains tight. You’ll work with teammates to resolve tickets and service requests, and you’ll contribute to updating SOPs and the knowledge base to improve future ticket resolution.

What you’ll bring to the role

The role prioritizes two clear must-haves. First, you should bring solid Microsoft Power BI proficiency to build dashboards and derive meaningful insights from operational data. Second, you’ll need five to eight years of hands-on experience in related IT administration or incident-management roles, demonstrating a track record of handling complex issues and coordinating across teams.

Onsite basics and workplace details

This is a full-time, onsite position located at IND-24, IN. The description specifies the work arrangement as onsite, with the role set in India, but no additional travel, licensing, or schedule details are provided here.

Tips to stand out in your application

Lead your resume with your Microsoft Power BI work and your success in resolving high-priority incidents, especially where you can quantify the impact on SLA performance.

In your examples, describe a specific P2 incident you tackled, the advanced troubleshooting you used, the root cause you identified, and the subsequent improvements you put in place to prevent reoccurrence.

Be ready to discuss disaster recovery exercises, security drills, and how you’ve contributed to service reviews. Highlight how you’ve communicated findings and kept stakeholders informed throughout the incident lifecycle.

Ask a focused question about how the team uses Power BI to monitor system performance and what capacity-planning projects are on the roadmap, so you show you’ll think about long-term reliability as well as immediate fixes.
