Local Area Marketing Partner - NSW/TAS

The roles are full-time and onsite in Barangaroo, NSW, working with ALH Hotels pubs. ALH owns and operates more pubs than any other operator across Australia, serving communities in more than 350 towns. This is a chance to help local venues connect with guests through tailored marketing that supports growth.
These positions suit marketers who blend data insight with practical collaboration. The Local Area Marketing Partner will work closely with publicans and a cross-functional group to diagnose local challenges, spot growth opportunities, and shape short-term marketing plans that address venue needs while aiming for commercial results.
Two Local Area Marketing Partners will join the NSW team, reporting to the Senior Local Area Marketing Manager, to help turn local insights into action that drives footfall and revenue across a portfolio of venues.
Partnering with venues to drive local campaigns
You will report to the Senior Local Area Marketing Manager and act as the dedicated marketing adviser to venue Publicans, building trust, setting accountability, and guiding commercial decisions at the site level.
You will set clear, ROI-focused marketing priorities and craft tailored, long-term pub marketing plans designed to solve specific venue challenges. Collaborating with the local area marketing delivery team and central marketing experts, you’ll refine ideas and deliver campaigns that bring more customers through the doors and lift revenue, with hands-on tactical production handled by specialists as required.
The must-haves and nice-to-haves

- Three to four years of experience in a dedicated marketing function, with multi-site exposure seen as a strong plus
- Proven ability to translate venue, guest, and catchment data into clear, actionable commercial plans
- Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with operational leaders, Publicans, and cross-functional teams
- Comfort with managing marketing budgets, evaluating campaign ROI, and maintaining spend discipline
- A proactive, reflective team player with a growth mindset who solves problems creatively and adapts to changing circumstances
- A marketing degree or equivalent experience; hospitality exposure is regarded as a plus
Nice-to-haves include:
- Formal marketing qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Prior exposure to the hospitality industry
