AD Ports Group seeks a seasoned Manager, Project to lead medium-scale port construction programs in Abu Dhabi, driving delivery from concept to implementation while managing risks, interfaces, and dependencies across clusters and external partners, promoting HSE and ensuring governance and stakeholder alignment. The ideal candidate has 12-15 years in similar roles, proven maritime construction project delivery, experience as a senior project manager or programme lead, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management. Excellent English is essential, Arabic is a plus. Core Responsibilities
Manage all the activities across ports medium-scale projects to enable successful delivery.
Handle ports medium-scale project risks, resolve issues with the relevant parties and update mitigation plans to ensure project success.
Responsible to ensure ports project compliance to group governance, external stakeholder, and cluster requirements.
Support in managing the interfaces and dependencies across ports medium-scale project, clusters, and external parties.
Promote HSE culture and activities in the construction activities across ports project.
Prepare reports to the management for all ports project delivery related matters and present performance improvement initiatives based on current activities, data analysis and forecasting study.
Liaise with ports medium-scale project owners and review the assigned specifications, standards, and procedures to meet project requirements and achieve objectives.
People Management Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a positive and collaborative culture between project teams, supply chain and other stakeholders for the betterment of the AD Ports group.
Strategic Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with other projects, suppliers, consultants, and contractors.
Support the development and continuous improvement of departmental working practices.
Identify and support improvement initiatives
Educational and Technical Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (engineering, construction management, project management, etc.)
Language Skills:
Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage
Years of Experience:
A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in a similar role
Nature of Experience:
Proven experience in delivering construction projects in maritime environment.
Experience as a senior project manager or in a programme management position.
Working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Preferably have work in both construction and consultancy organisations.
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Experience in project management including the ability to plan, execute and oversee projects from concept to implementation.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address complex challenges and opportunities and make data-driven decisions.
