Manager, Strategy and Performance

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is hiring a Manager, Strategy & Performance for a full-time, onsite role in Dubai, AE. Delivery Hero is a world-leading local delivery platform with operations in around 65 countries and a Berlin headquarters. The group has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and sits in the MDAX index. This is a chance to shape performance and profitability for talabat across regional markets.

The role sits in the regional Chief Retail Officer’s structure and focuses on turning data into actionable insights, delivering senior-management-ready analysis, and guiding market strategies. You’ll lead special projects and ensure talabat stays on track to hit its PnL targets, while partnering with multiple functions to unlock topline and bottom-line opportunities.

Turning data into strategy for talabat

On a day-to-day basis you’ll translate group goals into localized Grocery and Retail plans for several markets, oversee the annual and quarterly planning cycles, and help set aggressive yet realistic targets for revenue, costs, and market share. You’ll also look for opportunities to expand the business, such as new service lines like talabat mart.

You’ll dig into performance data to spot trends and anomalies, build comprehensive reports for senior leaders, and present clear, practical recommendations that translate complex information into decision-ready actions.

In addition, you’ll conduct country-specific analyses, work with different departments to address cross-functional issues affecting performance, and craft strategies designed to improve overall performance and profitability across talabat’s markets.

There’s also room for owning special projects, such as developing business cases for new products and guiding their implementation so they align with strategic goals and deliver measurable value. For budgeting, you’ll collaborate with local teams to set the yearly plan and ensure budgets are followed while pursuing opportunities to exceed targets.

What you’ll need to bring

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field from a reputable institution
• At least five years of professional experience in food delivery, e-commerce, or management consulting
• A strong finance mindset with experience in P&L analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, and assessing business impact
• Proficiency with data tools such as Big Query, SQL, and Lookr
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent written and spoken communication
• Experience using PowerPoint and Excel, or Google Slides and Sheets
• A proven track record of solving problems by structuring issues, conducting detailed analyses, and turning data into actionable insights
• Experience managing stakeholders or relationships in the food tech sector or related fields

Nice-to-have experience

• MBA or another advanced degree
• Past experience in a subscription-focused business
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
