What you’ll be doing
We have an exciting opportunity for a Market Relationship Partner - Pacific to strengthen NZTE’s engagement and impact across Pacific markets. You’ll build trusted stakeholder relationships, identify market opportunities, and connect customers and internal teams to the right insights, support and networks.
Reporting to Market Manager – Australia Pacific and working across NZTE, NZ Inc. partners and regional networks, you’ll connect market activity with our New Zealand head office and in-market Australia-Pacific team and be a key influencer in the Pacific Working Group. You’ll support regional planning, government and business engagement, and clear, practical Pacific market messaging.
You’ll be representing NZTE at business forums, council engagements, and key events for the market that capitalise on commercial opportunities that add value for kiwi exporters. This visible and influential role will suit someone who works well independently, enjoys senior engagement, and is energised by connecting people, ideas and opportunities.
You’ll help deepen NZTE’s relationships and presence across Pacific markets by:
You’ll also act as a key conduit between Pacific-focused colleagues, Customer Managers in New Zealand and external stakeholders, helping triage information, clarify priorities and represent the region consistently. Working with a wide range of internal teams to educate and inform customers whether in a one-on-one capacity or running 1-to-many activities to build capability and knowledge. You’ll enable the Pacific team to provide expert advice on market opportunities that supercharge NZTE’s ability to support exporters across multiple sectors, e.g. food & beverage, consumer, tech and manufacturing.
