Goodlife Health Clubs, part of Fitness and Lifestyle Group, is hiring a Member Support Consultant for the Yeerongpilly club. This full-time onsite role is well suited to someone who loves fitness and enjoys chasing sales targets while helping people start a healthier lifestyle. If you thrive when you’re energising others and you’re drawn to a hands-on, people-first environment, this could be a great fit.

As the first friendly face members meet, you’ll play a central role in the club experience, welcoming people, outlining options, and guiding them toward memberships that fit their goals. You’ll drive membership growth, lead engaging conversations, and build trust so new and returning members feel supported on their fitness journeys. The position is built for someone who loves interacting with people and making a positive impact every day.

Goodlife Health Clubs operates 97 premium clubs across Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia, serving more than 270,000 members. As part of Fitness and Lifestyle Group, the broader portfolio includes brands such as Fitness First Australia, Jetts Fitness New Zealand & Thailand, Zap Fitness and Barry’s, with 319 locations across Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia and more than 585,000 members. The MSC role sits at the heart of the club experience, focused on welcoming members, driving growth and creating a supportive, upbeat environment.

A day in the life at the club

In this role you’ll blend outreach, engagement and service to move the needle on memberships. You’ll contribute to promotions and referral campaigns, generate high-quality sales leads through community outreach, and convert those opportunities into contacts and tours. Your daily grind includes making a solid number of lead contacts by phone to maximise sales opportunities, delivering compelling sales presentations and tours to prospective members, and crafting positive, personalised member journeys that keep people engaged.

You'll handle enquiries with a focus on turning questions into outcomes, and you’ll be involved in opening and closing the club as rostered. A key part of the job is supporting member retention through ongoing calls and check-ins, recommending club products to boost results and enhance the overall experience for new and existing members.

The essentials you’ll bring

  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Ability to build rapport with people from varied walks of life and a genuine desire to help them reach their goals
  • Strong problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles and find practical solutions
  • Outstanding communication skills, including listening, understanding, empathising and influencing others
  • Tenacity and a natural drive to achieve individual targets and contribute to team goals
  • Customer-focused mindset aimed at delivering exceptional outcomes for members

Pay, perks and practical details

The role comes with a base salary plus uncapped commissions and realistic earnings of $65K+ per year.

You’ll also receive a complimentary all-access Goodlife membership, plus anniversary leave days and an additional free gym membership for friends and family as part of the recognition for service awards. You’ll join a high-energy team that celebrates wins, supports one another, and helps members achieve remarkable results. There are clear paths to management and opportunities to grow across Fitness and Lifestyle Group, spanning brands, locations and disciplines.

Tips for applying

Lead your resume with your sales and customer-service wins, especially examples where you generated leads, leveraged referrals or guided people through a tour and sign-up process.

Show how you prove the must-haves by weaving in real-world moments: your current First Aid and CPR credentials; a story about connecting with people from different backgrounds; a time you solved a tricky problem or turned a challenging situation into a positive outcome; a moment when your communication helped someone see the value of a fitness path.

Be ready to talk through interview scenarios that mirror the MSC day-to-day, role plays around member tours, presenting options, and handling enquiries, plus how you’d approach retention programs and regular member outreach to boost engagement.

Ask a focused question about growth and development, such as how performance is measured for MSCs beyond membership numbers and what support exists for advancing to management roles within FLG.
