Job Description

As a member of the Network and Infrastructure team, you will be supporting a complex hybrid environment across on-prem and cloud (Azure & AWS). This role focuses on keeping core network and infrastructure services secure, reliable and scalable, while contributing to uplift in cyber security posture and modernisation through automation.

This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.

Your Key Accountabilities

  • Define and enforce network security standards, including Palo Alto firewalls and IPSec configurations, with responsibility for ongoing monitoring and incident response
  • Drive continuous improvement of cyber security posture across IT and operational networks
  • Oversee performance, availability and capacity across infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, cloud)
  • Ensure infrastructure solutions align to business requirements and manage hardware, software, and networks deployment in an efficient, scalable way
  • Lead complex incident resolution, including root cause analysis and preventative improvements
  • Own Active Directory services, including user management, Group Policy and access controls
  • Contribute to and influence lifecycle management of systems and services across the environment (virtual & physical infrastructure, storage, Windows & Linux servers, networks & telecommunications, Microsoft services)

Qualifications

About You

  • Strong experience across Azure cloud infrastructure (AWS exposure also required)
  • Proven expertise in networking, routing and security, including Palo Alto firewalls and IPSec
  • Hands-on experience managing Active Directory, Group Policy and Entra ID
  • Solid hybrid networking capability (ExpressRoute, VPN essential)
  • Experience configuring and supporting Windows Server environments, with PowerShell scripting capability
  • Strong understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
  • Experience implementing and supporting secure, scalable infrastructure solutions across cloud and enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with ITIL / service management practices (incident, problem, change)
