NOC Specialist
FibrusFibrus is hiring a NOC Specialist to help drive one of the telecoms industry’s most talked-about deployments. In this role you’ll be the first port of call for technical support, working to resolve faults and outages for customers. The position is full-time and based onsite in Dargan, tailored for someone who likes keeping networks up and running while coordinating with multiple teams to get issues fixed.
If you’ve built solid experience in a busy NOC, enjoy diagnosing faults, and want a role where you can mentor colleagues while supporting FTTP deployments, this could be a strong fit. You’ll be part of a team focused on FTTP work, with opportunities to share your knowledge and help less-experienced teammates grow their skills. The company is tackling a high-profile telecoms project, and the team is centered on delivering reliable fibre connectivity from the local hub in Dargan.
Fibrus is driving a notable FTTP fibre connectivity program, with on-site activity in Dargan that keeps customers connected and service levels met. This is a hands-on position that blends technical problem-solving with customer-facing communication and cross-team collaboration.
A day at the NOC desk
Your daily rhythm centers on backing the installations team during FTTP deployments, quickly spotting issues and routing them to the right specialists to fix. You’ll troubleshoot end-user faults, digging into symptoms and guiding colleagues across functions to reach a solution, all while keeping clear notes and updates for stakeholders.
Beyond fault resolution, you’ll monitor critical alarms and manage outages with proactive updates to the wider business and to customers. You’ll own incident tickets from start to finish, ensuring work is aligned with established SLAs, and you’ll support other teams by resolving faults over the phone when needed. The role also touches order management, and there are chances to contribute to training for new hires, mentor junior team members, and take ownership of NOC projects. When complex faults arise, you’ll serve as a point of escalation to help the team move forward.

Tips to help you stand out
Put your NOC experience and FTTP or GPON work up front on your resume, especially anything that shows you supported deployments and handled service desk tickets end to end.
Back up the must-haves with concrete examples: describe a time you resolved a major outage, how you managed escalations, and how your actions kept alarms under control and SLAs intact.
Be ready to walk interviewers through your fault-triage approach, including how you detect, diagnose and fix issues, and how you communicate with customers and internal teams during outages. If you’ve mentored colleagues, be prepared to talk about that and how you helped them learn faster.
Ask a thoughtful question about the role’s tools and processes, such as which monitoring platform the team uses, how incident SLAs are measured, and how escalation flows connect with the installations team during FTTP deployments.
