Operations Associate (Full-Time) - Chatswood Chase
Alo YogaAlo Yoga is looking for an Operations Associate to join the Chatswood Chase store in Sydney. This is a full‑time, onsite role that sits with the store’s operations team and collaborates closely with the Operations & Visual Management group to keep the shop profitable and efficient. The brand centres on mindful movement, translating studio practice into everyday life, and this role gives you a hands‑on way to help that philosophy come to life in a retail setting.
If you enjoy staying active on the shop floor, solving operational challenges, and delivering thoughtful customer experiences, you’ll likely feel at home here. The position is built for someone who wants to contribute to a growing Australian brand, work with cross‑functional teams, and help drive results through careful execution of store processes. It’s onsite and requires you to be on the floor moving between the sales area and back of house to support the business.
In short, the role suits someone who likes to roll up their sleeves, stay engaged with guests, and partner with leadership to keep operations smooth while growing with the company.
Keeping the store humming on busy days
Your day begins with a focus on inventory discipline, making sure stock records are accurate and shrink is kept to a minimum, and you’ll dig into discrepancies alongside the General/Store Manager to close any gaps in process or system. The role includes supporting core operational functions such as shipments, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, and replenishment, plus floor‑set updates and ongoing supply management to help the store run like clockwork.
You’ll also keep the floor looking sharp by maintaining strong visual standards and working with teams to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, and vendor relationships, all while staying close to the technology and facilities that support daily operations. A safe and efficient stockroom is part of your remit, and you’ll move around the store to meet the needs of guests, teammates, and the business.
Directives at the company level will come your way, and you’ll implement operational projects and initiatives with the Operations & Visual Management team. You’ll help with product flow, merchandising placement, and daily replenishment excellence, and you’ll use relevant metrics to back up business‑driving decisions while resolving customer needs quickly and effectively. You’ll also identify product concerns and communicate inventory needs to support broader goals. The work requires constant movement around the store, and when there are no guests to assist, you’ll step in to keep the space clean, safe, inviting and running smoothly.
What you’ll need to join the team
- At least one year of experience in a client‑centric sales and operational setting
- A genuine passion for delivering standout customer service
- A self‑starter mindset with a drive to achieve results both independently and as part of a team
- Alignment with and embodiment of ALO’s Guiding Principles
- Willingness to move continually around all areas of the store
- Ability to lift, push or carry up to 10–15 kg
- Capability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and twist, plus safely climb up and down a ladder
- Capacity to stand and move for an entire shift
Pay, perks and schedule may vary with the store clock
ALO promises a competitive salary, complemented by monthly store incentives that recognise momentum and shared wins as the business grows. There’s also a generous team discount, plus a complimentary ALO Wellness Club membership that unlocks unlimited access to on‑demand yoga and fitness classes led by world‑class instructors. A quarterly clothing allowance supports all‑day movement, and there are extensive career growth opportunities as the brand expands across Australia.
To support business needs, this role requires flexibility around availability, including a rotating roster that covers peak trading periods and weekends. For eligibility, you’ll consent to a VEVO check to verify your right to work in Australia where required. For CA residents, the Job Applicant Privacy Policy is available HERE.
A few tips to help you stand out
Put your client‑facing, operations‑driven experience at the top of your resume, and tie it to inventory accuracy and guest service outcomes so the team can see your impact at a glance.
Show how you’ve proven the must‑have skills by citing concrete numbers, think improvements in stock accuracy, reductions in shrink, or measurable guest satisfaction gains from previous roles.
In interviews, be ready to discuss how you handle moving around the store, supporting floor replenishment, and executing floor sets; bring examples of times you collaborated with a manager to fix a process or system gap.
Consider ending with a thoughtful question about how the store uses metrics and visual management to drive daily decisions, and ask what a successful first 90 days look like in this Chatswood Chase location.
