Pinterest is seeking a Senior Client Partner to lead Auto and Quick Service Restaurants partnerships from its Sydney office. This is an onsite role that focuses on shaping growth for some of the most influential advertisers in those sectors, building trusted relationships with senior client and agency stakeholders, and turning business priorities into full-funnel media strategies that deliver measurable results. You’ll own a portfolio of brands, look for opportunities to deepen Pinterest’s role in their media mix, and help them grow investment over time through durable, strategic partnerships.

Pinterest positions AI as a powerful partner for creativity and impact, and the interview process will explore not just what you know but how you think and how you apply foundational skills with AI in mind. You can read more about their philosophy on AI in hiring here. The company has built a culture around transformation and collaboration, and this role sits at the intersection of strategy, data, and partnerships, with the goal of driving revenue growth and business outcomes for both Pinterest and its partners.

Success in this position means ability to influence across large organizations, simplify complex client challenges, and turn insights into compelling strategic recommendations. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams across measurement, creative strategy, product marketing, sales operations, and technical partners to deliver innovative solutions that move the business forward.

A day in the life on the client front in Auto and QSR

You’ll work to retain and grow the value Pinterest delivers to Auto and QSR advertisers, expanding Pinterest’s strategic footprint within each partner’s media mix and uncovering opportunities to increase investment. A core part of the job is managing relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers across clients and agencies, running regular strategy sessions and planning conversations to understand priorities, remove blockers, and surface new growth ideas.

As the strategic voice for Pinterest, you’ll articulate the platform’s unique value and shape how advertisers think about Pinterest across brand, consideration, and performance objectives. You’ll translate a partner’s goals, customer needs, category dynamics, and KPIs into tailored, full-funnel media recommendations, supported by data, market context, and Pinterest insights. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to delivering measurement, creative, and product-based solutions that align with shared business objectives and drive meaningful revenue growth.

Throughout, you’ll keep a pulse on the broader advertising ecosystem and Auto and QSR industry trends to identify opportunities for Pinterest to deliver incremental value, while proactively growing revenue through joint planning, strategic pitches, deal negotiations, upselling, and expanding investment across different business units and regions.

What you’ll bring to the table

Here are the essentials that show you’re a fit for the role.

  • Five or more years in sales, digital, or social advertising, with a track record of delivering results.
  • A well-established network within agencies.
  • A proven history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and driving growth.
  • Clear, precise written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
  • The ability to influence major business decision-makers.
  • Deep knowledge of ad tech and full-funnel digital advertising, including solutions for brand, consideration, and conversion, with proven performance outcomes.
  • Strong consultative skills and a track record of negotiating long-term partnerships that are mutually beneficial.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, turning insights and trends into actionable growth moves.
  • A goal- and results-oriented mindset that balances short- and long-term objectives to sustain partnerships.
  • Effective communication and collaboration, thriving in fast-moving environments and helping teams work well together.
  • Experience with retail partnerships, especially omnichannel and e-commerce brands, domestically and internationally.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves that could set you apart include direct experience with Auto and QSR advertisers, a track record of working across regions, and familiarity with Pinterest’s advertising products and roadmap to help partners apply solutions effectively.

Advice for applicants

Lead your resume with a summary of your five-plus years in sales and digital advertising, and highlight any work with agency networks and large Auto or QSR brands where you drove measurable revenue growth.

Show how you prove your must-have skills in concrete terms. Include specific examples of influencing senior stakeholders, closing long-term partnerships, and delivering full-funnel campaigns that tied brand goals to performance results.

Prepare to tell a story about translating client priorities, category dynamics, and KPIs into tailored media recommendations, then backing those recommendations with data, market knowledge, and platform insights.

When you’re in the interview, ask about cross-functional collaboration, how Measurement, Creative Strategy, Product Marketing, and Sales Operations work together to solve client needs, and how incremental value is defined and measured for Auto and QSR campaigns.
