Job Description

Helping Hands Holland Park is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Coordinator to join our growing Helping Hands service. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll shape culture, drive quality, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children and your team. 

This is a permanent, full-time role, working across split shifts, Monday to Friday, including 10 hours of dedicated non‑contact administrative time to support your success.

Service hours include:

  • Rise Then Shine: 6:30am – 9:00am
  • Stay and Play: 2:30pm – 6:00pm
  • School Holidays: Block shifts between 6:30am – 6:00pm

About Holland Park Helping Hands 

Holland Park is a large and well-established OSHC service, providing Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care for up to 210 children in the afternoons and 180 children during mornings and holidays. Having been an integral part of the school community for almost two years, the service has built strong relationships with children and families and is supported by a consistent, experienced team of educators. With access to multiple shared spaces, you'll have the opportunity to deliver a dynamic, inclusive program that engages children of all ages and interests.

About your new role

As a Coordinator, you’ll be leading a team of passionate Educators and overseeing an engaging before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. Your service has a Service Manager onsite, so you will be continually supported and guided throughout your journey as a Coordinator. This role is all about leadership: 

  • Design and lead a vibrant, child‑centred program, filled with engaging experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts.
  • Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance, and administration, with time allocated to do this well.
  • Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported, motivated, and proud of the program they deliver.
  • Partner with families, the school community, and internal stakeholders to ensure the service continues to grow and thrive.
  • Be supported by experienced Regional Managers and a dedicated Support Office so you’re never doing it alone.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for? 

If you have a passion for supporting children, we’d love to hear from you! Here’s what we’re looking for: 

  • Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
  • National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko)  
  • A natural leader who enjoys guiding a team and helping others grow. 
  • Strong communication skills—you’ll be leading by example! 
  • A team player who inspires others and encourages growth. 
  • You have (or are willing to obtain) a National Police Check and Working with Children Check. 
  • Australian work rights.
