Planning Engineer (Bridge Project Experience)
Egis GroupEgis Group is recruiting for a Planning Engineer with bridges and infrastructure project experience to join the onsite team in Dubai. The role centers on managing schedules for large-scale projects tied to Etihad Rail and other bridge and infrastructure works in the UAE. It’s a full-time, on-site position that suits someone who can translate complex scopes into precise time plans and keep diverse stakeholders aligned.
The company’s work in Dubai spans government and private sector infrastructure, with a focus on delivering robust, safe, and timely project outcomes. The Planning Engineer will play a key part in coordinating across engineering, procurement, and construction teams while staying compliant with client and Dubai authority requirements.
This position would appeal to a professional who thrives on detailed planning, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and can demonstrate a track record of delivering schedules on time in the UAE. Strong English communication and familiarity with Dubai procedures are important to fit this role well.
What You’ll Do as a Dubai Bridges Planning Engineer
You will develop, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 as the core tool, with MS Project as a supporting option, covering all construction phases from mobilization to handover. You will also create cost-loaded and resource-loaded programs, maintain change logs, track KPIs, and manage EOTs to reflect project realities.
Day to day, you’ll coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with the baseline schedule, identifying major risks and defining action plans in line with management direction. When delays occur, you’ll prepare look-ahead programs, progress reports, and mitigation or recovery plans to keep the project moving toward milestones.
Regular site visits will be part of the cadence to verify actual progress against planned timelines in the UAE. You’ll integrate milestones with authorities’ processes, including NOC approvals, traffic diversion programs, and permits, and you’ll analyze the critical path, float, and resource allocation to optimize timelines. Participation in progress meetings and clear, timely presentations to management and client representatives will round out the role, along with delay analyses (Time Impact Analysis and Window Analysis) and contractual correspondence, all while ensuring project planning guidelines and documentation are properly maintained and coordinated with document control.
