You’ll cultivate long-term relationships with automotive, technology, business and lifestyle media across the UK, handle media inquiries, pitch exclusive stories, and monitor brand sentiment to protect and grow XPeng’s visibility while mitigating reputational risks.
You’ll draft and refine press materials, press releases, official statements, media kits and feature pieces, and ensure messaging stays consistent and on brand across touchpoints. You’ll also plan and coordinate full-cycle PR events, from vehicle launches to media roundtables, delivering premium media experiences and evaluating outcomes after each event.
Performance is tracked through core PR metrics, budgets are managed, and external agencies are directed to meet objectives and timelines. You’ll provide market insights and coordinate with cross-functional teams, from Marketing to Sales, Product, Aftersales and headquarters, to ensure aligned communications and a coherent UK strategy. You’ll also support reputation management and on-demand response when issues arise.

Lead your resume with a track record that proves you’ve spent at least six years in PR or related fields, with notable work in automotive, tech or premium consumer sectors and visible impact in the UK market.
Show how you’ve localised global messaging for the UK, built and sustained media relationships, and managed product launches end-to-end, including working with external agencies and keeping projects on schedule and within budget. Include specific examples with metrics where you can, media reach, sentiment, share of voice and campaign ROI.
Be ready to talk through a UK PR strategy you led, the steps you took to align with regional and global goals, how you coordinated with cross-functional teams, and the results you achieved for XPeng or a similar brand.
Consider a thoughtful question for the interview panel about expectations for the first year, how success is measured in the UK market, and how XPeng balances global brand guidelines with local market needs. You might also ask how the UK team collaborates with European and global headquarters on strategic priorities.
