Tips to stand out in your application

Lead your resume with the enterprise architecture leadership you’ve delivered, especially projects that spanned business, data, application, and technology domains, and highlight any hands-on work with RISE with SAP, LeanIX, Signavio, Cloud ALM, and BTP/S/4HANA. Quantify outcomes where you can, such as cloud adoption milestones reached, KPI improvements, or specific value realized for a customer. Show how you’ve proven the must-have skills in concrete terms. Include examples where you led architecture governance across multiple domains, steered a cloud adoption path, and collaborated with C-suite stakeholders to define success metrics and risk mitigations. If you’ve helped customers move to a Clean Core approach or accelerated AI-driven initiatives, feature those outcomes prominently with short case-style narratives. Prepare for interviews by mapping a real project to the role’s expectations: describe the stakeholders you engaged, the KPIs you defined, the governance structure you established, and how you balanced technical constraints with business value. Be ready to discuss how you’d guide a customer through RISE with SAP from archetype to scale, and how you’d mitigate adoption risks along the way. Ask a thoughtful question during your conversations that shows you’ve studied SAP’s cloud strategy and the NZ market. For example, you might ask how SAP envisions aligning local customer journeys with the broader RISE with SAP roadmap, or how success is measured for architectural transformations in the region and what role you’d play in driving value realization for those customers.
