What your days could look like

In this role you’ll partner with the product management team to push improvements in program deliverables and manufacturing processes to help maximize assembly yield. You’ll also help standardize workflows by recording existing procedures and converting undocumented steps into the Qorvo format, then uploading those documents to the DocCenter. The work will span continuous improvement initiatives, with a focus on updating PM practices and exploring AI-enabled enhancements where appropriate, giving you a chance to contribute to practical, measurable changes.

Day-to-day collaboration and problem-solving will be common as you support and, at times, lead projects that aim to refine how PM practices operate. You’ll be exposed to real business needs and will have the opportunity to present your progress to senior stakeholders as part of the internship experience.

What you must have, what would be nice to have

You’ll need to be actively pursuing a degree in one of these fields: computer science, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering, with a track record of strong academic performance (a GPA of at least 3.0). You should bring solid analytical abilities and communicate clearly in writing and speech. The role expects you to work well on your own, manage ambiguity, and push initiatives forward. You should also be comfortable using project-management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Databricks, or similar platforms.

Advice for applicants for this internship

Lead with the projects and tools you’ve used that align with product management and process improvement. Put those in the first section of your resume and describe concrete outcomes, especially any work that involved PM tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Azure DevOps, along with data platforms like Power BI or Tableau.

When you describe your must-have skills, pair each item with a brief example of how you demonstrated it. For instance, show a situation where your analytical approach helped drive progress or where your written and verbal communications clarified a complex concept for teammates or stakeholders.

For interview prep, be ready to discuss how you would update PM practices to incorporate AI features. Think of a past or hypothetical continuous-improvement project and explain the approach, milestones, and how you’d measure success within the PM workflow.

Ask a targeted question at the end of an interview, such as what kinds of PM projects you would work on in the Advanced Cellular group or what the path looks like for converting the internship into a full-time role when opportunities arise. You can also inquire about the kinds of learning opportunities they offer beyond day-to-day tasks, like the Launch & Learns mentioned in the program description.
