You’ll also assist with RF fixture and probe card design activities, including PCB layout, test sockets, and interface cabling. Your work will involve taking precise measurements with DC source/measurement units, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and digital pattern generators, then turning the data into clear presentations and reports. Documentation of test systems and software designs will be part of your responsibilities, along with developing test solutions for over-temperature bench and ATE testing using custom Loadboards, Lego Cards, and Test Fixtures. Finally, you’ll help create product interface fixtures to probe devices using Altium Designer and Keysight ADS.

Three concrete tips to stand out for this internship
Tailor your resume to front-load your current degree program and GPA, then highlight relevant coursework in analog or RF design and any hands-on lab projects that involved test automation or hardware-software integration.
Demonstrate your must-have skills with concrete projects: share examples of automated test work using C++ or C#, and any experience with PCB design, test sockets, or interface cabling. If you’ve used Altium Designer or Keysight ADS, describe a real project where those tools were essential to the outcome.
For interviews, be ready to walk through a hands-on lab project where you built or improved a test setup, including how you interpreted data and presented findings. Have a story ready about collaborating with teammates to meet a testing milestone, and be prepared to discuss the final presentation you’d deliver to business leaders as part of the internship experience.
Ask about the kinds of projects in the Advanced Cellular group and how a successful internship might lead to a full-time role. Inquire about the mentorship structure, how progress is measured, and what the final presentation to business leaders typically entails so you can tailor your preparation.
