They lead ongoing in-life product improvements and manage how price changes are rolled out, ensuring changes are implemented smoothly and monitored for impact. They also assist the product team with enhancements by conducting market research, financial and process analyses, and work with the customer experience and go-to-market managers to understand customer pain points and translate those insights into a practical development roadmap. The role involves documenting customer journeys, business processes and IT requirements, and regularly compiling reports that turn data into meaningful insights. An eye on market research, technology trends and pricing opportunities rounds out the day-to-day work.

Advice for applicants
Lead your resume with your commercial experience and evidence you can work independently. Start with a concise summary that highlights at least two years in a commercial role and a track record of taking initiative on projects, especially where you trained others or launched new products.
Show how you prove the must-haves with concrete examples. Include brief stories about times you trained colleagues, mapped a customer journey, performed market or financial analyses, or produced insightful reports that informed a decision.
Prepare to discuss how you would approach a real-world scenario from this role, such as guiding an in-life product enhancement or managing a pricing change, and explain how you would gather customer insights to inform the roadmap. Have a clear example ready of how you’ve used data to influence a business decision.
End with a smart question to ask in interviews, for example: What metrics does the team use to measure the impact of in-life product improvements and pricing changes, and how is success defined for this role?
