Advice for applicants
Put your front-ddesk experience up top on your resume. Start with a concise profile that highlights guest-service strength, the ability to handle a multi-line phone setup, and your experience coordinating appointments and daily records. If you’ve worked in hospitality or healthcare front desks, lead with that experience and quantify it where possible (for example, how many calls you managed per day or how many files you supervised).
Back up the must-have skills with concrete examples. In your resume and interviews, show how you delivered great customer service, stayed organized under pressure, and kept reception areas tidy and stocked. If you’ve worked with a Multi-line phone system or managed guest information, share specifics like the tools you used or the volume you handled and how you maintained accuracy and privacy.
Be ready to discuss how you handle the safety protocols referenced in the role and to describe a time you kept a reception area running smoothly during a busy period. You may be asked to walk through your process for scheduling appointments, managing files, and communicating updates to guests or colleagues, so have a clear, real-world example ready.
Ask a thoughtful question that shows you’re thinking about the daily flow of the role. For instance, inquire about the software the property uses to manage front-desk operations and guest records, or ask how performance is measured for the receptionist function and what a successful first 90 days looks like in this onsite environment.
