Melbourne, AU

Anker Innovations is looking for a motivated student or recent graduate to join as Regional Sales Manager for Australia. The internship is based in Melbourne and work happens onsite, aligning with campus recruitment efforts. This role sits at the intersection of smart manufacturing, the industrial internet, and automation, and would suit someone who’s excited to build hands-on experience in B2B and channel sales.

The position is a solid fit for someone who wants to kick off a career in enterprise and partner sales and who enjoys collaborating across marketing, product, and operations to grow a regional footprint. If you’re drawn to shaping growth plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and helping local partners succeed, you’ll find this a practical, learning-focused environment.

What your days will look like in Melbourne

You’ll start by cultivating and maintaining relationships with enterprise and channel clients worldwide, steering the full sales cycle from lead generation through needs discovery, demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, and contract signing, while owning delivery and renewals. You’ll team up with the marketing group to co-create regional growth plans, think trade shows, roadshows and online campaigns, and you’ll monitor lead conversion while reviewing campaign ROI. You’ll coordinate internal resources across product, delivery, customer service, legal and supply chain to keep customers successful and returning after each contract is signed and implemented. You’ll also help prepare project materials for partnerships with local channels, e‑commerce partners, and retail outlets. Finally, you’ll gather localized market insights on competitors, pricing, channels and compliance to refine scalable growth playbooks and SOPs.

Advice for applicants

Start your resume with a line that shows your readiness for enterprise sales and any concrete examples of building partnerships or closing deals through school activities or internships. If you have numbers or outcomes from a project or campaign, include them to demonstrate a data‑driven approach.

When you describe your must-have skills, point to moments where you used data to justify a sales move or to explain results to a team, and mention any cross‑functional collaboration you led or participated in, especially with marketing, product, or delivery teams.

For the interview, be ready to walk through an end‑to‑end sales scenario, including how you’d coordinate with product, delivery, legal and supply chain to keep a customer happy from contract signing to implementation. Show you can learn new tools fast by citing a time you picked up a new process or software quickly.

Ask a targeted question about how the Australian market is supported by playbooks and SOPs, and how localized insights feed into regional growth plans. A good question is to understand how the team measures success and what a successful first quarter looks like in this role.
