About the role

In this truly hands on role, you'll be supporting the rentals & logistics team in coordinating the day-to-day deliveries of all forklifts.  This involves locating the correct trucks and ensuring all accessories are correct and accounted for, with all paperwork completed, ready for delivery.  Then, when trucks are returned from site, they are processed ready to be dispatched again. 

Your enthusiasm and energy will be essential in this role as will your ability to work well with the team. 

Key responsibilities   

  • Physically check all upcoming deliveries of machines, ensuring the machines have been charged and are located in the dispatch area 
  • Check that all delivery dockets have been created and processed ready for invoicing
  • Assist with “Off Hiring” processing when assets are returned to branch
  • Assist with stock counts to ensure all assets are accounted for
  • Provide a high level of customers service to both internal and external customers 
  • Assist the Transport drivers with unloading and loading equipment, if required

Requirements

We're looking for someone with an interest in logistics and distribution, for this entry level role. Someone with a mechanical or automotive background or interests may also enjoy this opportunity to enter our business and find career opportunities with Crown NZ.

What will you need

  • Full drivers license, with the ability to drive a manual PLUS a forklift license
  • Strong communication skills and work well in a team
  • Be customer-focused and understand the importance of providing great customer service 
  • Be solutions-focused and able to think on your feet 
  • Be physically fit and comfortable manually preparing trucks for dispatch 
  • Be confident with technology and learning new technical skills
  • Have strong attention to detail skills
