TransPerfect in Sydney is seeking a Sales Coordinator to help grow the business and support existing accounts. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, focused on building client relationships, generating new leads, and getting hands-on with a developing sales career. The company backs you with a team environment and a platform that includes selling TransPerfect’s GlobalLink technology, a localisation and translation management system.

The role targets clients across travel, tourism, medical and government verticals, and it’s well suited for someone who enjoys meeting people, networking, and turning opportunities into tangible results. If you’re outgoing, eager to learn, and want to start a sales path with a supportive team, this position could be a strong fit.

TransPerfect Sydney is looking for an energetic, growth-minded individual to generate new business and provide first-line support to existing clients and accounts, while taking ownership of relationships and opportunities from start to close.

What your days will look like in this sales role

You’ll be focused on bringing in new business and acting as the frontline support for current clients, coordinating with the Production Management Team to manage expectations and ensure service levels. A core part of the job is to promote and educate clients about TransPerfect’s services, while learning each client’s industry, needs and culture to uncover additional opportunities. Your outreach will draw on several channels, cold calling, targeted emails, primary research, networking, as well as participation in trade shows and events, to build a steady stream of leads and convert them into opportunities. You’ll also handle pricing and contract considerations by gaining a thorough understanding of internal processes and applying that knowledge to client negotiations and engagements.

What you’ll need to apply

Here’s what the team is looking for. The must-have capabilities include:

  • Strong English communication skills, both in writing and speaking
  • Solid problem-solving abilities
  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification
  • A service mindset with a drive to exceed client expectations
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and stay organised in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to treating everyone with respect
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse, multicultural team
  • Skill in building and maintaining strategic relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Comfort with diversity and openness to new ideas and perspectives
  • A proactive approach to achieving results and solving problems

Guidance for applicants

Lead your resume with examples that demonstrate your ability to generate new business and manage client relationships, especially any experience with technology solutions or services similar to a localisation or translation management system. If you have experience with outreach methods like cold calling or event networking, call those wins out front to show you can build a pipeline from the ground up.

When you describe your must-have capabilities, back each point with a concrete instance: how you communicated clearly in a cross-functional team, how you resolved a client issue, or how you navigated pricing or contract questions to reach a satisfactory outcome. Tie your stories to real results and dates to show progression.

For interviews, be ready to talk about how you’d learn a client’s industry, business needs and culture in order to surface new opportunities. You’ll be asked to share how you’d balance client service with closing deals, and you should have ideas for collaborating with the Production Management Team to deliver on commitments.

As a smart question to close, ask about how success is measured for a Sales Coordinator in this team, or what the typical travel schedule within ANZ looks like for client engagements and industry events.
