Sales Director - Data Licensing
XperiTiVo Ads, a division of Xperi, is building out its European data sales effort and is looking for a London-based Sales Director to lead data licensing initiatives. Xperi creates technologies and data that power the global entertainment experience, with familiar brands including TiVo, DTS and HD Radio. The company trades on the NYSE as XPER and operates across North America, Europe and Asia. This role is a strong fit for someone who wants to shape how TV viewership data is bought, sold and applied, with a focus on the UK and wider EU markets.
The role centers on launching and scaling TiVo’s data licensing product in the UK, selling to advertisers and technology partners. The product gathers viewership data passively from Smart TVs via ACR technology to measure tune-in and advertising impact for linear and streaming content. It sits in a newly formed European-focused sales team, and you’ll be responsible for managing clients as the data licensing portfolio grows across the UK and EU.
If you enjoy turning ideas into a plan, working with data-driven advertising approaches, and taking on a leadership position in a nimble team, this could be a strong match. The job is London-based with responsibilities across the UK and EU, and it’s suited to someone comfortable balancing independent work with collaboration across larger corporate structure.
A day in the life of data licensing sales
In this position you’ll craft and execute a go-to-market plan aimed at driving revenue for the data licensing portfolio within the UK and EU, targeting aggressive growth within a newly established sales division. You’ll identify prospective clients and cultivate relationships through direct outreach and through partnerships with third-party players, building a healthy pipeline that balances enterprise accounts and strategic collaborators.
You’ll stay ahead of trends in CTV and ad tech, translating that knowledge into credible conversations with brands, agencies and technology partners. You’ll ensure stakeholders are kept informed with clear updates and align internal teams to move deals forward, prioritizing initiatives and deadlines to keep momentum strong.
As you engage with clients and internal leaders, you’ll represent TiVo Ads in industry settings, sharing insights and best practices. You’ll work closely with colleagues across disciplines and with senior leadership to turn plans into measurable results, and you’ll help the team learn and improve by spreading what works well.

Tips to help you stand out for this role
Lead with proven wins. When you apply, open your resume with examples of revenue you’ve generated in ad tech roles, including the size of the deals and the impact of your efforts. Tie each achievement to data licensing or TV data-related outcomes wherever possible.
Show how you prove you’ve got the must-haves. Be explicit about seven or more years of client-facing advertising experience, your work at the intersection of advertising and technology, and a concrete instance where you delivered measurable KPIs for a client using TV data applications.
Prepare for interviews by mapping a GTM plan. Be ready to outline how you would launch or scale a data licensing product in a new market, including target segments, partner strategies and metrics you would use to gauge progress in the first months.
Ask a specific, thoughtful question. For example, inquire about how success is measured in the first year for this role, which partnerships they value most as the portfolio grows, and how data licensing integrations might evolve across UK and EU markets.
