Marriott International is hiring a Sales Manager- Mice & Corporate for an on-site, full-time role in Dubai. The position focuses on proactively pursuing sales opportunities, ensuring smooth turnover to service teams, and helping shape long-term, value-based relationships with corporate and meetings, incentives, conferences and events buyers so sales goals are met.

As a global hospitality leader, Marriott seeks a professional who can coordinate across property segments, build a solid client base, and close opportunities with integrity and customer focus. The role suits someone who thrives on relationship building, cross-functional teamwork, and a track record of turning opportunities into booked events while upholding Marriott’s service standards.

Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer that welcomes diverse backgrounds and does not discriminate on protected bases.

Making relationships count in MICE and corporate sales

In practice, the role requires proactively soliciting opportunities and handing them to the events team for proper service delivery. It involves working with off-property sales channels to coordinate efforts and avoid duplication, while developing relationships with existing and new customers through calls, client entertainment, familiarization trips and trade shows, and expanding the local base through community engagement. It also includes managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and delivering a clean turnover to Event Management so the service team can execute seamlessly.

Additionally, the Sales Manager participates in sales calls with the team to bring in new business, and supports the operational side of bookings by generating proposals, drafting contracts, and handling customer correspondence as the deal progresses.

What you’ll need to bring

To be considered, candidates must meet one of two education and experience paths:

  • An associate degree in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field, plus at least three years of sales or marketing experience in a professional setting.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus at least one year of sales or marketing experience.

Ways to stand out as you apply

Lead with the path you meet on your resume: if you have an associate degree, place the three years of relevant sales or marketing experience at the top of your experience section; if you have a bachelor's degree, highlight the one year of relevant experience so it’s easy to spot.

Back up your claims with concrete examples of relationship-building and revenue-generating activities. Mention how you’ve partnered with off-property sales channels, executed sales calls, secured bookings, and handed over to Event Management to ensure flawless delivery.

Be prepared to discuss how you analyze market conditions and identify the right target customers, then tailor solutions to win opportunities. Use specific stories where you understood a client’s business issues and translated them into a compelling proposal.

Ask a thoughtful follow-up about Marriott’s approach to growing MICE and corporate business in Dubai and how success in that segment is measured. This shows you understand the role’s impact on revenue and client satisfaction.
