Wynn Al Marjan Island is looking for a Senior Building Technician to join the Wynn Oasis Engineering team. This onsite, full-time role sits in the United Arab Emirates and supports a resort development that’s planned to open in 2027 on Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island, about 50 miles from Dubai International Airport. Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the UAE’s first integrated resort, featuring 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a theater, a beach club, multiple pools, a five-star spa, a shopping promenade and a celebrations and events center.

The Senior Building Technician will be part of the Wynn Oasis Engineering group, bringing hands-on maintenance across the resort’s buildings and facilities. It’s a practical, multi-trade role that suits someone who enjoys working across civil, electrical, mechanical and structural systems in a hospitality setting.

If you want a role where you troubleshoot, repair and maintain a large, complex operation while collaborating with multiple trades, this could be the right fit for you.

Maintaining the Wynn Oasis heartbeat

You’ll routinely inspect staff housing and related facilities to identify maintenance needs spanning civil, electrical, mechanical and structural systems, keeping safety and reliability at the forefront. You’ll roll up your sleeves to perform hands-on repairs on building infrastructure, plumbing fixtures, electrical components such as lights, sockets and distribution boards, HVAC support systems, doors, windows, tiles and ceilings, along with other architectural elements, to restore function quickly and effectively. When requests, complaints or emergencies come in, you respond promptly and professionally to resolve issues with minimal disruption to residents.

You’ll coordinate with specialized technicians, trade owners, contractors and vendors for outsourced services such as façade cleaning, waterproofing, rigging point certification, BMU inspections and pest control. For planned maintenance, you’ll support HVAC and electrical technicians with tasks like changing filters, cleaning coils, replacing fixtures and basic troubleshooting. You may also assist in renovation and refurbishment projects, including painting, patching, carpentry and minor civil works. Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports and job cards, whether digitally or on paper, will be part of your routine, as will monitoring inventory of tools, consumables and spare parts and reporting shortages to supervisors.

Reading and interpreting basic technical drawings, riser diagrams and layout plans will help you support installations and repairs, and you’ll ensure tasks comply with safety regulations, permit-to-work procedures and UAE building codes. Collaboration with other trades and departments, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, civil and housekeeping, will help you complete multi-disciplinary tasks efficiently. You’ll take part in scheduled audits, inspections and safety drills as required by the engineering team or HSE, and you’ll help keep common areas, external zones and service corridors clean and presentable, reporting hazards or deterioration. Finally, you’ll remain flexible and available for deployment across different zones or buildings based on operational priorities and business needs.
