About the Role

Our Consumer Goods business is one of New Zealand’s largest and most diverse distribution operations, representing market‑leading global brands across Grocery, Pharmacy, Convenience and Route‑to‑Market channels.

Reporting to the Director, Finance NZ, this is a high‑visibility, commercially impactful role supporting DKSH New Zealand’s largest business unit. As the Senior Finance Business Partner – Consumer Goods, you will act as the lead commercial finance advisor to the General Manager and Consumer Goods Leadership Team, influencing strategic decisions, shaping customer profitability, driving pricing and investment strategies, and supporting long‑term growth initiatives.

This role offers broad exposure across commercial finance, business partnering, transformation, business development, acquisitions, and executive‑level stakeholder engagement. It is ideal for an experienced finance professional seeking a role where their impact is both visible and valued.

What You Will Deliver

  • Strategic commercial partnering with senior leaders to drive profitable growth, market share expansion and value creation
  • Ownership of financial performance across revenue, gross profit, EBIT, working capital, inventory and cash flow
  • Clear, actionable financial insights presented to executive stakeholders, major CG clients and multinational brand owners
  • Evaluation of customer negotiations, tenders, pricing strategies, commercial investments and new business opportunities
  • Contribution to M&A including due diligence and post‑acquisition integration
  • Leadership of planning and forecasting including annual budgets, rolling forecasts and global reporting decks
  • Finance transformation across automation, Power BI, advanced analytics and best‑practice adoption
  • Financial governance ensuring accuracy, compliance, data integrity and strong internal controls
  • Cross‑functional leadership across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance

What You Bring

  • 10+ years’ experience in commercial finance, business partnering or FP&A within FMCG, retail, distribution or other fast‑paced industries
  • Strong commercial judgement with the confidence to challenge and influence senior leaders
  • Deep partnering capability and a proven track record supporting strategic, customer‑focused environments
  • Experience in transformation, analytics and process improvement, ideally including Power BI or automation
  • Cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead projects and work with global and regional teams
  • Professional qualifications including a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Personal attributes including resilience, integrity, structured problem‑solving, autonomy and a proactive mindset
