We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Golang Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services using Go (Golang). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust APIs, optimize system performance, and deliver reliable software solutions following modern software engineering principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Go (Golang).
  • Build, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
  • Design and implement scalable microservices-based architectures.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Design, develop, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms using JWT and OAuth2.
  • Develop background services, scheduled jobs, and asynchronous processing using message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
  • Write unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure application quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
  • Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to support deployment automation.
  • Monitor application health, performance, and logs to ensure system reliability.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to architectural decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Go (Golang).
  • Strong experience building RESTful APIs and familiarity with gRPC.
  • Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.
  • Experience working with Redis and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with Git and version control workflows.
  • Experience with Docker; Kubernetes experience is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Good understanding of software security principles, including JWT, OAuth2, and OWASP Top 10.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Strong understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.
