The Senior Legal Counsel, Capital Markets & Corporate Development is an onsite role that sits in the heart of the company’s growth plans. Expect to work closely with finance, corporate development and executive leadership, guiding significant financing rounds, equity and debt strategies, and strategic partnerships. Keeping the capital engine humming
The Senior Legal Counsel will provide strategic, commercially-minded legal support for the company’s financing, capital-raising and corporate development activities. You’ll partner with finance, corporate development and executive leadership, and work with external advisers to structure and execute debt and equity financing, corporate transactions and strategic investments. In this role you’ll lead the legal work on sizable financing and development matters, delivering practical, solutions-focused advice in a fast-paced, high-growth technology setting. The right candidate will balance technical legal know-how with pragmatic risk assessment and a collaborative approach, while operating autonomously across a broad range of matters.
In addition to guiding complex deals, you’ll help shape the company’s approach to corporate structuring, risk management and regulatory compliance, with an eye toward scalable templates, policies and frameworks that support growth and governance as the business expands across markets and partnerships.
What you bring to the Firmus team
Must-have capabilities include a substantial track record in the legal function, typically eight to ten years post-qualification, gained in a top-tier law firm or a sophisticated in-house setting. You should have broad experience across debt finance, equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, and a proven ability to negotiate and manage complex financing and investment arrangements. A strong commercial sense paired with pragmatic risk management, plus the capacity to deliver clear guidance in a fast-growing environment, are essential. Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills are also necessary to succeed in this role.
- Around eight to ten years of post-qualification experience, from a top-tier firm or a well-developed in-house team
- Deep exposure to debt financing, equity capital markets, M&A, corporate transactions and joint ventures
- Proven track record negotiating and overseeing complex financing and investment agreements
