In this role, you'll:
be working on a high-profile Renewable Energy Zones Program, supporting the delivery of wind and solar generation across NSW in line with the Government’s Climate Change (Net Zero Future) Act 2023.
The Senior Portfolio Manager drives enterprise-level integration of planning, performance, and governance across the REZ portfolio, ensuring program streams (Initiate & Coordinate, Delivery, Operate & Enable) are strategically aligned, optimally resourced, and delivering against Government priorities. The role provides authoritative oversight, insight, and advice to enable executive decision-making and portfolio optimisation.
A key focus is to be the Steerco Secretariat and to manage governance, finance , interdependencies and sequencing across multiple workstreams, helping to optimise resources and drive efficient portfolio outcomes.
It’s a strategic role where you’ll provide clear oversight across a complex, interdependent program — identifying risks, improving performance, and enabling executive decision-making through strong insights.
This is a Fixed Term Contract until 31/12/27. The home office location is 231 Elizabeth Street however regional based candidates are highly encouraged to apply. It is embedded within the team’s established ways of working and supports collaborative delivery. Flexible hybrid work options are available to promote balance and productivity.

About you
You will have the following:
• Strong PMO or portfolio management experience across governance, reporting, and performance for complex infrastructure programs.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stream programs and interdependencies.
• Confident analysing cost, schedule, and risk, and turning data into clear insights.
• Proven ability to support executive-level reporting and decision-making.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in PMO, program management, or analytics
