Senior Specialist Planning & Scheduling (m/f/d)
ExyteExyte is hiring a Senior Spcialist Planner (m/f/d) to own the end-to-end integrated schedule across project lifecycles. The role is onsite in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and you’ll collaborate with project teams to develop, coordinate, monitor and report the schedule, helping shape competitive project timelines. If turning complex engineering, procurement and construction activity into a clear, actionable plan sounds like your kind of challenge, you may be a strong fit.
You will enable project teams to target viable schedule solutions and provide critical input for the project change and risk management process. This is a hands-on role that rewards precision, clear communication and the ability to steer teams toward shared milestones.
Exyte operates within EPC environments and looks for schedulers who can coordinate across engineering, procurement and contractors to keep projects on track from start to finish.
Day-to-day rhythms in the schedule office
You’ll push for standardization of scheduling processes and oversee any contracted scheduling services to ensure consistency and reliability across projects. Alongside that, you’ll ensure schedules are loaded with the right project resources so staffing and resource density can be analysed effectively. You’ll also track key metrics and benchmarks to measure performance and drive continuous improvement, and you’ll lead schedule update meetings when needed.
Your work with Primavera P6 will cover the full spectrum of project scheduling activities, from building the WBS and logic links to managing constraints, imputing resources, tracking progress and generating earned value insight, as well as float management. You’ll collaborate closely with subcontractors to ensure schedule requirements are met, updates are timely and any slippage is recovered efficiently.
What you’ll bring to the schedule table
Must-haves for this role include a degree in an engineering field or construction management, and proven EPC experience that shows you’ve effectively worked with engineering teams, procurement and contractors. You should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills alongside solid organization and coordination capabilities. A solid grasp of established scheduling techniques and practices is essential, and you’ll need to be proficient with Primavera P6 and comfortable with CPM concepts and how to calculate critical paths.
- A degree in engineering or construction management
- Direct experience in the EPC sector collaborating with engineers, purchasers and contractors
- Clear communication and strong organization to coordinate multiple moving parts
- Solid knowledge of scheduling methods and industry best practices
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 software
- Understanding of CPM concepts and how to apply them to project schedules
Nice-to-haves are not listed in the posting.

There’s a built-in emphasis on work‑life balance, including the possibility of switching to mobile working if appropriate. Free coffee specialties and water dispensers are available on every floor, and Exyte also subsidises your fitness contract through Egym Wellpass at more than 5,000 locations across Germany.
Tips for making your case
Lead with your must-haves on your resume. Put your engineering or construction management degree up front, then highlight your EPC project track record, your Primavera P6 expertise and your CPM know-how, with concrete examples where possible.
Back up your claims with concrete demonstrations. Describe specific projects where you built schedules, loaded resources, tracked progress and reported earned value, and show how you coordinated with subcontractors to keep updates timely and slippage under control.
Be ready to discuss scheduling in interviews. Expect to walk through CPM calculations, scheduling techniques and how you would approach a schedule recovery plan, including how you would run a schedule update meeting with stakeholders.
Ask a smart question about how scheduling standards are applied across projects and which metrics the team uses to measure schedule health and performance.
