Full-time
On-site
Sydney, AU

Twitch is the world’s biggest live streaming service, fueling thousands of communities around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and more. The company values collaboration and practical problem solving, and it’s building a safety-forward culture that helps creators and fans connect with confidence. The Senior Trust and Safety Operations Analyst role is based onsite in Sydney, Australia, and is ideal for someone who wants to shape how safety work is done across a global platform.

As a core member of the Trust & Safety team, you’ll help keep Twitch communities welcoming and free from online harms. The role calls for clear communication, professional judgment, and a bias for action, while collaborating with policy, legal, and engineering peers to strengthen safety processes. If you’re excited by turning data into safer, healthier communities, this could be a great fit.

You can work in Sydney, Australia.

Guarding the Twitch communities

Day to day, you’ll quickly review user reports of policy violations and decide on appropriate actions, prioritising sensitive issues such as child safety, terrorism and violent extremism, and off-service behaviours to minimise risk. You’ll review and assess graphic or disturbing content as part of investigations and enforcement actions, with access to wellness resources when needed. You’ll handle internal and external escalations and participate in shift rotations that include some weekends and holidays, all while maintaining expert knowledge of Twitch policies, site features, and internal documentation. Beyond enforcement, you’ll bring your insights to the Trust & Safety team to support Twitch’s global community, looking for ways to improve how investigations are conducted and how risk is mitigated using a data-driven approach. You’ll also leverage AI tooling and programmes such as SQL to build efficiencies and streamline workflows, and you may lead projects that enhance the operating model and help the team understand the evolving risk landscape.

What you bring to the role

  • 4+ years of hands-on work in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, Investigations, Fraud Prevention, Content Moderation, Escalations and Crisis Management, or a closely related field
  • Experience investigating complex user, content, or platform safety issues and making risk-based decisions in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to engage with sensitive or graphic content in a professional capacity, with a commitment to personal wellness and the use of available support resources
  • Familiarity with SQL, data analysis tools, or AI-assisted workflows used to identify trends, investigate risk, and improve operational efficiency
  • Capacity to analyse large datasets, spot patterns, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies that support proactive risk detection and investigations
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners, including Policy, Legal, and Engineering teams
  • Familiarity with Twitch as a creator
  • Previous employment at a games industry or live streaming platform company

Pay, benefits and practical details

The role comes with a benefits package that includes private health insurance and life insurance or private medical insurance, dental, vision and life insurance, and a superannuation or pension plan. You’ll also have maternity and parental leave, paid time off and holidays, commuter benefits (on-site only), and an Amazon employee discount. This position is onsite in Sydney, and the Job ID is TW9209.
