We're seeking a full-time Senior Warehouse Coordinator to join our ABI East Tāmaki team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high service levels, while supporting the Warehouse Manager and stepping in as the supporting manager when needed.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Foster a commitment to ABI Interiors' mission, vision, and values while promoting an inclusive environment.
- Act as the primary point of contact and decision maker in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
- Supervise and manage daily warehouse floor operations, ensuring smooth workflow and effective labour allocation.
- Set daily team tasks and downtime objectives to maximise productivity.

Motivate and engage the warehouse team, creating a positive and high performing work environment.
- Address and resolve logistics issues to maintain high service levels.
- Prepare and deliver weekly operational reporting, covering performance, issues, and team updates.
- Serve as the Health & Safety Representative (HSR), ensuring all health and safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements in processes, equipment, and warehouse layout to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Conduct regular safety checks and ensure all employees comply with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Act as Deputy Transitional Facility Operator (TFO), ensuring all container devanning processes comply with MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) regulations.
- Maintain up to date biosecurity documentation, equipment records, and checklists.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure all biosecurity requirements are met.

Lead and contribute to toolbox talks, discussing key warehouse issues, updates, and safety protocols.
- Maintain proactive, transparent communication on operational performance, issues, and risks.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, PAC, IT, and Planning teams to align warehouse operations with customer expectations and product quality standards.
- Step in to support day-to-day warehouse operations when required, including receiving, storing and dispatching stock, processing documentation, allocating and retrieving inventory, conducting stocktakes and audits, operating inventory systems, and safely using material handling equipment.
About You
- Proven experience in warehouse or logistics operations, ideally in a coordinator or team lead capacity.
- Strong people leadership skills with a coaching and development mindset.

Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Solid understanding of health and safety, MPI, and biosecurity compliance in New Zealand.
- A proactive, adaptable approach, with the ability to fill in across various roles as needed.
