Fairmont Dubai, part of the Accor family, is looking for a Food & Beverage Server to join its on-site team in Dubai. The hotel blends contemporary design with urban sophistication and is known for delivering the renowned Fairmont standard of service in the city’s business district. This is a hands-on, guest-facing role that will suit someone who enjoys interactions with guests and takes pride in consistent, polished service.

As a Food & Beverage Server, you’ll be the welcoming face in the outlets, taking orders, offering thoughtful recommendations, and ensuring the quality of every item that goes out to guests. After you apply, you’ll receive an email from AssessFirst to create a profile as part of a mandatory step to gauge alignment with the role and the brand’s luxury culture. You’ll report to the Outlet Manager and be expected to maintain professional, friendly service while adhering to outlet policies, service standards, and safety guidelines.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys talking with guests, thrives in a team setting, and can stay composed during busy shifts.

Mornings in the dining rooms at Fairmont Dubai

Your daily work centers on delivering professional, warm service across Food & Beverage outlets, handling orders, and guiding guests through the menu and beverage lists. You’ll be ready to explain garnishes, contents, and preparation methods to help guests make informed choices, and you’ll stay informed about promotions happening in the hotel. You’ll also follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and drinks, and you’ll keep to outlet policies and service standards. Punctuality matters, as you’ll arrive in a neatly pressed uniform with your name badge, and you’ll participate in pre-meal briefings and regular meetings to continually improve the guest experience. At the end of each shift you’ll count linen and manage the appropriate cash or non-cash transactions, including procedures for deposits or handling due backs, and you’ll understand shift-end reports before you clock out.

Physical demands of the role include standing and walking for long periods, with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds. You’ll be asked to move through dining areas, assist guests, and coordinate with team members to ensure smooth service throughout the shift.

Must-haves and nice-to-haves

  • Clear communication and strong organisational skills
  • English fluency is essential; ability in Arabic is a bonus
  • A high level of responsibility and reliability
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
  • Comfortable functioning as part of a team
  • Experience with Micros is a plus, but not required; training will be provided
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good problem-solving abilities
  • Arabic language ability
  • Prior Micros experience is an asset

What you’ll get and what to expect

Accor properties typically offer a benefits package that includes company-sponsored medical insurance and meal breaks on duty. You’ll receive staff uniforms, and there are learning programs through the company’s academies designed to sharpen your skills. You’ll have opportunities to contribute to corporate social responsibility activities and to advance your career, with national and international promotion possibilities. Colleague perks include discount rates across Accor properties worldwide for you and your family, plus dining and wellness discounts and other benefits intended to enhance your experience in hospitality.

Guidance for applicants

Lead your resume with a section that highlights guest-facing service roles, especially where you delivered warm, engaging service and could explain menu and beverage options to guests.

Back up your must-have skills with concrete examples. If you’ve demonstrated clear communication, teamwork, or the ability to stay calm during busy periods, describe those moments and the impact on guest satisfaction.

Be ready to discuss how you handle safety and sanitation and how you manage cash or non-cash transactions according to shift-end procedures. Having a concrete plan for how you’d contribute to pre-meal briefings and monthly meetings will help you stand out.

When you reach the interview stage, consider asking how onboarding and training through Accor Academies are structured, and how guest-experience metrics are tracked within the outlets you’d join.
