Advice for applicants
Lead your resume with relevant warehouse and shipping experience, especially anything tied to cold storage or freezer environments and the specific tasks in this role, like loading and unloading, ticketing, and inventory checks.
When you describe your must-have skills, call out concrete examples: the exact equipment you’ve operated (push trucks, dock stocker, walkies, and counterbalance), your familiarity with Oracle-based ticketing, and times you correctly matched deliveries to invoices or corrected shortages. If you’ve worked in -18°C conditions or at heights, mention the duration and any safety training you completed.
Prepare for interviews by sharing precise stories: how you handled discrepancies between received goods and documents, how you maintained accuracy under time constraints, and how you stay safe while moving goods in a freezer. Be ready to discuss your comfort level with the cold and your approach to safety procedures in a production setting.
Ask a focused question that ties to the job’s growth track and training: for example, inquire about the training plan for the Oracle system and which equipment you’ll start with, and ask how the company supports internal advancement within Canada or internationally.
