Transport for NSW seeks a Senior Manager IT Service Continuity & Risk to champion IT continuity, disaster recovery, and impact analyses for systems, with autonomy to lead a team and engage stakeholders in a complex environment. Ideal candidates bring hands-on continuity and DR experience in large organisations, leadership including incident managers, and a track record of delivery. ITIL exposure is preferred but practical leadership matters most. To apply, tailor your CV to DR testing and exercises, regulatory alignment, and cross functional collaboration; review the role description and information pack; contact Lucy Burton; and submit by 11:59 PM 17 June 2026. Flexible work options may be available and inclusion is a priority.

You’re a proactive leader who knows that significant growth starts with small positive steps every day.

Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.

In this role, you'll:

The Senior Manager IT Service Continuity & Risk leads the development, implementation, and ongoing optimisation of ICT service continuity strategies, ensuring critical systems remain resilient during disruptions.

This role is accountable for conducting business impact analyses, risk assessments, and designing robust disaster recovery (DR) and continuity plans aligned to recovery objectives.

It oversees testing, simulation exercises, and integration with enterprise-wide business continuity frameworks, while continuously improving processes in a fast-evolving technology environment.

Operating with high autonomy, the role also drives team performance, manages stakeholders, and ensures service continuity capabilities meet organisational and regulatory expectations.

About you

The ideal candidate brings deep, hands-on experience in IT service continuity and disaster recovery within large, complex organisations, with a proven track record of delivering resilient outcomes.

They are a strong people leader, capable of managing and developing a team (including incident managers) while influencing senior stakeholders in politically and commercially sensitive environments.

The candidate demonstrates strategic thinking alongside operational execution, with the ability to continuously enhance services and adapt plans to technological change.

A background in ICT with relevant qualifications (and ideally ITIL exposure) is preferred, but success in this role is driven by practical experience, leadership capability, and delivery excellence.
