Lead your resume with your GCP expertise and incident-management experience, and start with a concrete example of handling an escalated GCP incident within SLAs, plus the kind of SOPs you’ve authored or improved.
Back up your claims with specifics tied to this role: describe how you analyzed a root cause, how you communicated findings to stakeholders, and how your documentation helped prevent similar incidents in the future.
Prepare for interviews by framing stories around how you managed escalations, participated in capacity planning, and interacted with customers to resolve issues. Be ready to discuss how you mentor others and how you ensure knowledge is captured and shared.
Consider asking a pointed question during your interview, such as: what are the current GCP environments the team manages, what SLAs govern incidents, and how is knowledge sharing supported within the group? You could also ask how capacity planning is approached in practice and what role this team plays in ongoing improvements.
