Keeping the housing network in shape
In day-to-day terms, you’ll help keep maintenance processes organized for all corporate housing units assigned to you, order items for the corporate housing catalogue, and handle service requests that come through Store Connect. You’ll translate those requests into actionable work orders in Office Trax and follow them through to completion, while coordinating travel logistics for contractors via the corporate travel agency when needed. You’ll also keep residents informed about work order progress, expected material delivery dates, and contractor arrival timelines, and take part in an on‑call rotation for after-hours emergencies. Along the way you’ll gather quotes from contractors, arrange repairs under the Facility Manager’s guidance, and contribute ideas for capital expenditures. You’ll assist with ongoing fixed asset inventories and maintain asset records in the web-based Asset Management system, while supporting environmental and emergency response programs and helping prepare repair and maintenance budgets for pre-approval.
What you need to bring and what helps you stand out
Must-have
- At least two years of property management experience, or a suitable mix of education and hands-on work in that field
- A university degree or college diploma in business administration
- A BOMA designation related to property or facilities management
- Ability to work well in a team and step in to cover other regions or facilities when required
- A solid grasp of residential building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
- Understanding of building codes and regulations is an asset
- Ability to work with regulators and maintain productive relationships
- Experience assisting with budget creation
- Capability in purchasing materials and coordinating global logistics
- Highly motivated with proven organizational, planning and prioritizing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once while meeting strict deadlines
Nice-to-haves
- French language skills are desired
- Experience maintaining fixed asset inventories and using a web-based asset management system like Office Trax
- Familiarity with environmental and emergency response programs
- Experience arranging contractor travel and related logistics through a corporate travel agency
