Stage ingénieur : Productivité par l’IA et gestion des connaissances pour le Support Client NFC Wallet (H/F)
NXP SemiconductorsNXP Semiconductors is seeking a hands-on intern to join the NFC Wallet Customer Application Support team. The role is based onsite in Caen, France, and offers a chance to work directly with experienced NFC Wallet engineers on real support activities rather than theoretical demos. This is an ideal opportunity for a Master’s student or an engineering student in their final year who wants to apply AI and knowledge-management methods in a security-focused, international setting. The team lives at the intersection of secure NFC technologies and customer support, and the experience suits someone who enjoys practical problem solving and collaboration across cultures.
At the core, the organization behind Secure Transactions and Identification builds hardware and software for secure applications, including near-field communication systems. In this environment, the intern will help turn generative AI potential into concrete, reusable practices that the NFC Wallet support team can use day to day, with human oversight and clear data-handling rules.
Turning AI into practical support routines
You will collaborate with seasoned NFC Wallet engineers to map out the recurring, time-consuming tasks in the customer-support workflow and pinpoint where AI can add value. Your work will focus on real support activities rather than demos, ensuring the outcomes are actionable and aligned with the team’s needs. You’ll create a structured library of prompts for tasks like preparing meetings, synthesizing technical documents, assisting with problem analysis, extracting knowledge, and drafting initial technical content. You’ll also establish reusable prompt patterns, input checklists, and templates that engineers can adapt to their own activities. A lightweight evaluation approach will help gauge usefulness, accuracy, repeatability, human-review needs and time saved, and you’ll run pilot sessions to gather feedback and refine the processes. Finally, you’ll prepare concise training materials, examples and hands-on exercises to encourage responsible adoption, and document recommendations, limitations, lessons learned and a sustainable handover plan for continued use after the internship.
Your core requirements
You’re enrolled in a Master’s program or in the final year of an engineering degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, knowledge management or a related field.
You have a concrete interest in generative AI, the craft of prompt engineering and evaluating AI-generated outputs.
You can structure ambiguous problems, run experiments and translate what you observe into clear, actionable recommendations.
You communicate well in writing and can document your work effectively.
You’re curious about embedded systems, mobile technologies, NFC or customer technical support, and NFC knowledge is a plus but not essential.
You’re autonomous, motivated and enjoy working with engineers from diverse technical and cultural backgrounds.
You have a solid command of English, both written and spoken.
Prior NFC expertise is a plus but not a prerequisite.
Practical details for the internship
The internship is on-site in Caen, within the NFC Wallet Customer Application Support team. You will receive close mentoring from experienced engineers and have access to representative support scenarios, technical knowledge and approved AI tools, all within the rules governing access and confidentiality. The environment is collaborative and multicultural, with regular feedback on the technical relevance, usability and measurable value of the proposed solutions.
Joining this team means you’ll see how NFC Wallet technologies and a global technical-support organization operate in practice. You’ll work on tangible assets that can boost the team’s efficiency and knowledge reuse, mixing technology, experimentation, change enablement and measurable impact in a single assignment.

Kick off your resume with the fact that you’re pursuing a Master’s degree or are in the last year of your engineering program in a directly relevant field, and specify your focus on computer science, data science, AI, knowledge management or related areas.
When you describe your qualifications, illustrate the must-have skills with concrete examples: a project where you designed or tested a prompt-based workflow, or where you evaluated AI outputs and drew practical conclusions. Include metrics if you have them, such as time saved or improved accuracy.
Prepare to walk through a real problem you solved by structuring it, running experiments, and turning observations into actionable recommendations. Be ready to discuss how you validated results with human oversight and how you would document and share findings with a team.
Think of a thoughtful question to ask during interviews that connects to the role, such as how the team defines success for the first pilot use case or how the handover plan would be implemented to ensure long-term adoption beyond the internship.
