Fresha, the AI-powered operating system serving the global beauty, wellness and self-care ecosystem, is growing its Sydney team with a Talent Acquisition Specialist. This is a hands-on, end-to-end recruitment role designed for someone who wants to move quickly, partner closely with the business, and help build high-performing teams as Fresha expands across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia Pacific region. It’s an onsite, full-time position based in Sydney.

The company supports a vast network of partners, including salons, barbers, spas, medspas, fitness studios and health practices. Fresha’s platform connects consumers with local providers, while its software helps merchants manage appointments, payments, customer records, marketing, inventory and team management. Globally, Fresha works with more than 140,000 businesses and over 450,000 professionals, processing more than a billion appointments to date. The business is headquartered in London and operates 15 offices across North America, EMEA and APAC.

If you thrive in a fast-moving hiring environment and enjoy seeing the impact of your work on commercial growth, this role could be a strong match.

Racing to build teams in the APAC region

You’ll partner with the Global Head of Talent, Senior Talent Partners, and hiring managers to deliver a high-quality, end-to-end hiring experience. From sourcing and screening to coordinating interviews and providing onboarding support, you’ll keep multiple searches moving while ensuring the candidate experience remains top-notch. This role sits in a small, collaborative Sydney-based team drawn from backgrounds at Google, Meta, Amazon, Uber, Cleo AI and Sandbox VR, all focused on delivering great hiring for both candidates and internal stakeholders.

The position is well suited to someone energized by a busy environment, comfortable juggling several priorities at once, and motivated by making a visible commercial impact as Fresha scales across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia Pacific region.

What you’ll bring to the talent sprint

  • A background in recruitment or talent acquisition, ideally from an agency or other high-output setting
  • Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously and keep momentum with stakeholders
  • Resilience and calm under pressure, with solid judgement
  • Comfort with shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong business sense and a focus on the impact of hires
  • A desire to be part of a high-performance culture with minimal politics
  • Experience recruiting across international markets
  • Exposure to high-growth startups or product-led tech companies
  • Hiring across commercial roles

What you’ll gain from the Sydney setup

The role is based in Fresha’s Sydney office and is on-site, reflecting a culture that values close collaboration and quick alignment. There will be periods of intense activity and shifting priorities, but the objective is to hire well and move with purpose to support meaningful growth across the APAC region. Being in the Sydney hub helps the team move faster, stay aligned and build stronger working relationships as the business expands.

It’s not a generalist HR function. It’s a hands-on talent role aimed at high-impact hiring in a company that is scaling and expects strong execution.

Tips to stand out in this talent role

Lead your resume with recruitment work that shows agency or other high-output experience and end-to-end hiring across several live roles, plus evidence of owning the process from start to finish.

Highlight how you prove you can run multiple searches at once, keep stakeholders aligned, and navigate the Lever applicant tracking system to move candidates through the funnel efficiently.

Be ready to discuss concrete examples of balancing speed with quality, including decisions you made that helped close roles quickly without sacrificing fit or candidate experience. Bring stories from APAC or similar regions if you have them.

When you ask questions, focus on how the team partners with the Global Head of Talent and hiring managers, how success is measured in the first six to twelve months, and how cross-time-zone coordination is handled in practice.
