About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

As Team Leader Administration, you will lead a team of customer-focused administration professionals who play a vital role in supporting recovery outcomes. For many team members, this may be their first corporate environment, making this an exciting opportunity for a leader who enjoys coaching, mentoring, and building capability. You will help your team develop the skills, confidence, and knowledge needed to thrive, while creating a supportive and inclusive environment where people can grow and perform at their best.

You will empower your team to deliver proactive, efficient, and customer-focused administration services that ensure clients receive the right support at the right time. Through strong leadership, coaching, and guidance, you will foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and service excellence, helping to deliver positive outcomes for our clients and communities.

Working as part of a collaborative leadership team, you will provide day-to-day leadership, performance coaching, and operational support while contributing to ACC's purpose of helping keep Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

The indicative salary for this role is between $101,287 and $142,993 based on experience. 

ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.

  • Leadership experience in a customer-focused, service delivery, operational, or administration environment.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop people, particularly those early in their corporate careers.
  • Experience building team capability and creating a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams to achieve customer and operational outcomes using data and insights.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to influence and engage others.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to make pragmatic decisions in complex or challenging situations.
  • A collaborative leadership style that promotes accountability, inclusion, engagement, and high performance.
  • A genuine passion for supporting people to grow, succeed, and reach their potential.
  • You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
