Technical Security Program Manager
GoodmanGoodman is hiring a Technical Security Program Manager to fortify security across its Continental European data centre portfolio. The role is based in Paris with a hybrid work arrangement, offering a hands-on opportunity to shape how security systems are designed, implemented and operated across multiple sites. Goodman, a group that develops, owns and manages logistics facilities and data centres to support goods movement and the digital economy, is expanding its security capability as its European portfolio grows.
The Technical Security Program Manager will be the technical authority for security-system readiness, acceptance and sustained performance. This is not a commissioning-only job: approximately 70 percent of the work supports design, construction, testing and readiness for RFS, while roughly 30 percent is devoted to post-RFS stabilisation, lifecycle assurance, defect resolution, optimisation and continuous improvement.
People who enjoy turning complex security technology into reliable, auditable operations will likely thrive here. The role speaks to those who can collaborate with multiple vendors and internal teams, communicate risk clearly to leaders and operations staff, and travel across the Continental European data centre portfolio as project needs require.
Securing the stack day to day
In practice, you’ll own the commissioning strategy and ensure the framework covers from design review through RFS, including test stages, evidence requirements, acceptance criteria and independent validation points. You’ll review security designs and integration architecture to confirm systems are buildable, resilient, testable and aligned with operational needs. You’ll lead configuration work, functional testing, integrated-system testing, diagnostics, remediation and performance optimisation across core security platforms. You’ll inspect the physical layer, cabling, containment, devices, field panels, control rooms and enabling infrastructure, and enforce quality gates before energisation, testing and handover. You’ll maintain objective evidence, configuration baselines and decision records, and you’ll brief the Physical Security Lead and Operations Team on readiness and acceptance. You’ll direct integrators, contractors and specialist vendors while keeping internal ownership of assurance and acceptance decisions. After RFS, you’ll drive stabilisation, track defects to closure and ensure temporary overrides and incomplete configurations are removed. You’ll monitor ongoing operational performance, analyse recurring faults and coordinate improvements with Operations, ICT, vendors and platform owners. You’ll also translate operational feedback into better standards, test scripts, configuration controls, training and repeatable assurance practices across the portfolio.
What you’ll need to bring

- A relevant engineering degree (electrical, mechanical, building services, construction management or similar) or equivalent industry experience
- At least seven years’ experience in electronic security systems engineering, commissioning or technical assurance, including complex integrated setups
- Hands-on experience in data centres or other critical infrastructure, with a solid grasp of operational risk, resilience and controlled change
- Deep knowledge of access control and identity systems, CCTV/VMS, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, control rooms and their interfaces with ICT, BMS, fire and monitoring platforms
- A track record of troubleshooting technical and integration issues, evaluating objective test evidence and driving defects to sustainable resolution
- Experience leading contractors, integrators and multidisciplinary stakeholders across design, construction, testing, handover and live operations
- Sound judgement and clear communication, with the ability to explain technical risk, cost and operational consequences to leadership, customers and delivery teams

A few practical tips for applicants
When you tailor your resume, lead with your seven-plus years of electronic security systems experience, emphasising data-centre or critical infrastructure work and any leadership of multi-vendor projects that covered design to live operations.
Demonstrate how you’ve handled design and integration assurance end-to-end, from design reviews and testing to acceptance and post-RFS improvements, and include concrete examples of defect resolution tied to operational performance.
Be ready to discuss situations where you translated technical risk, cost and operational impact into language leadership could act on, and to share how you’ve coordinated across Operations, ICT and vendors.
Have a thoughtful question ready about how readiness and acceptance are defined at Goodman, or about the key milestones for the security program in the next 12 months, to show you’ve thought through the role in the Continental European context.
