Put your most relevant experience up front on your resume, starting with a summary that highlights your work planning and managing live events from start to finish, along with budget oversight and final settlements. If you’ve led events that required cross-team coordination, call that out first and include a concrete example of how you built and used an Event Prep Schedule to keep departments in sync.
Demonstrate how you’ve led teams and managed multiple priorities by describing a specific project where you supervised staff, coordinated with Production, Ticketing, Security and Guest Services, and kept the event on schedule while tracking the budget. Where possible, quantify results, like on-time settlements or cost savings, to show impact.
Be ready to walk through a real event you managed that required you to serve as Event or House Manager. Explain how you collaborated with multiple departments, how you built the EPS, and how you handled any last-minute changes while preserving guest experience.
Have a thoughtful question prepared about how the EPS process works in practice at The Classic Center and how success is measured for guest experience and event operations, so you show you’ve thought about how the role operates in this theatre environment.
