Advice for Goway Destination Specialist Applicants
Lead your resume with your luxury travel or custom tourism experience and clearly highlight 3–5 years in wholesale or retail travel packages, plus any 4‑ and 5‑star tailor‑made results. If you’ve specialized in a Goway destination or delivered high‑touch itineraries, put those successes near the top so the recruiter sees your fit right away.
In your materials, prove the must‑have skills by citing specific outcomes: for example, how you exceeded sales targets by qualifying inquiries and converting them into bookings, how you managed documents and airline ticketing with accuracy, and how you maintained multiple client timelines without dropping service quality. Mention your familiarity with Amadeus, Salesforce or other GDS and CRM tools, and your comfort with Microsoft Office to show you can hit the ground running.
Be prepared to discuss how you build trust with clients via phone and email, how you keep your destination knowledge current, and how you handle complex itineraries or last‑minute changes while preserving Goway’s service standards. Bring concrete stories about relationships you’ve fostered, referrals you’ve generated, and examples of collaborating with suppliers to deliver seamless trips.
Smart question to ask: how is the uncapped commission structure designed and are there additional performance incentives beyond base salary? Also inquire about opportunities for Familiarization Trips and how often travel to the destinations you sell occurs, plus how the training program supports ongoing knowledge of Goway destinations.
