An unpaid on-site Vector Surveillance Intern role supports the Cape Cod Mosquito Control Project. Based in Southborough with Cape Cod field work, you’ll assist with arbovirus surveillance by deploying traps, learn to identify mosquitoes to species, rear specimens for invasive species surveillance, and prepare samples for resistance testing. Job Description:
The intern will be assiting with arbovirus surveillance on Cape Cod. They will gain experience with different trapping methods and rearing techniques. Further instruction will be given on identifying mosquitoes to species.
