Fulton Hogan is seeking a Water Technician to join the Water Infrastructure Maintenance team in HKB Whakatu, New Zealand, on a full-time onsite basis. You will perform repairs and maintenance of water mains, service lines, hydrants and tob ies, with connections on commercial and residential properties including backflow preventers, plus pipe installations, pressure testing and sterilising, and valve fittings. Some overtime and occasional weekend work are required. The ideal candidate holds a minimum full class 2 license, preferably Level 3 or 4 Water Qualification, with 3 Waters maintenance or PE pipe experience and strong communication and safety mindset. In addition to the above you will:
Connections on both commercial and residential properties including backflow preventers installation
Undertake pipe installations installation and maintenance using small and large plant equipment
Pressure testing and sterilising of new mains before connection to existing networks
Installation of valves, hydrants and associated water main fittings
This role will require some flexibility as there is some overtime and optional weekend work when required

We’re looking for someone with:
Minimum full class 2 licence
Level 3 or 4 Water Qualification is preferable
Experience with PE pipe works (pipe welding) is an advantage
Experience working within 3 Waters maintenance
